Dr. Mark Chandler
Owner & Medical Director
Mark R. Chandler, MD is a double board-certified physician with over 10 years of experience. He is beloved by his patients for his calm demeanor, artistic eye, and attention to detail. Dr. Chandler first became interested in aesthetic medicine while working as an emergency medicine doctor helping patients recover from major trauma. In this role, he has helped patients with burns and skin lacerations restore their appearance and self-confidence. In addition to his board certification in Emergency Medicine, he went on to earn board certification in Aesthetics from the American Board of Aesthetic Medicine (ABAM).
In addition to providing aesthetic services at Mountain Radiance, Dr. Chandler is an emergency medicine physician at Pardee Hospital in Hendersonville, NC. Dr. Chandler completed his bachelor’s degree in Bioengineering at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA, and received his medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine in Miami, FL. When he’s not in the office, Dr. Chandler likes to run and bike in the mountains of Western North Carolina and run and hike with his dogs.
Lauren
Practice Director & Aesthetic Laser Operator
We couldn’t ask for a more dedicated and thoughtful Practice Director at Mountain Radiance. Lauren uses a compassionate, patient-centered approach to deliver exceptional, personalized service to everyone who walks through our doors.
Lauren’s experience as a Aesthetic Laser Operator has given her a deep insight into aesthetics, and she applies her expertise to promote skin health and rejuvenation with personalized ProCell Microchanneling, Hydrafacials, IPL treatments, and tattoo removal.
When she’s not out on the roads running or cycling, lifting weights, or loving on her pack of sweet dogs, you can find Lauren honing her craft to provide the greatest benefit to anyone fortunate enough to find themselves in her very capable hands.
Sarah
Nurse Injector & Licensed Esthetician
Sarah takes a holistic and artistic approach to facial rejuvenation as both a Licensed Nurse Injector and Licensed Esthetician. Sarah is known by her patients for her calm, listen-first approach: she will learn about your goals, evaluate your skin, and educate you about the treatments available. She wants each patient to feel beautiful in their skin by helping them achieve a natural, refreshed look.
Sarah has always held a passion for skin care and for helping to promote others’ well-being and confidence. Originally from Hickory, North Carolina, Sarah studied nursing at Appalachian State University in Boone and at Lees-McRae College in Banner Elk, where she earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing in 2019. After graduating from nursing school, Sarah made Asheville her home and spent 3 years working as an emergency room nurse at Pardee Medical Center. In 2021, she embraced the opportunity to specialize in aesthetic medicine with Mountain Radiance.
Outside of our office, Sarah is a painter who works in acrylic and watercolor. She enjoys hiking the Western North Carolina mountains, and has recently gotten married and adopted a kitten named Rosie.
Beyond her medical training, Sarah became a Licensed Esthetician to further her specialty in aesthetic skin treatments and offer clients more comprehensive care. She also received training for injectable neurotoxin (i.e. Botox) and dermal filler at Aesthetic Consulting and Training (ACT), the southeast’s premiere aesthetics program for injectables.
Her favorite treatments to perform are complementary combinations, such as Botox to stop wrinkles paired with customized fillers to enhance your natural features and promote younger-looking skin.
Christina
Physician Assistant & Injector
Christina is a medical professional with 10 years of experience in intensive care, critical care, and emergency medicine. Christina earned her degree as a Physician’s Assistant from South College in Knoxville in 2013 and has been living in Asheville for the past 7 years. Though originally from Charlotte, she finds Asheville to be a great fit due to her love of the mountains and outdoors. Christina gained medical experience in both the ICU and ER (with our very own Dr. Mark!) before making the transition into aesthetic medicine.
In addition to aesthetics training with Dr. Mark, Christina underwent training with Allergan, the makers of Botox and Juvéderm. She specializes in injectables and also offers laser treatments to help her patients achieve their aesthetic goals. Christina takes a custom approach with each patient and strives to help them enhance their wonderful, natural beauty or modify things they prefer to change, empowering them to feel comfortable and happy with their appearance.
Christina is passionate about being a PA because she enjoys the constant challenge of medicine and the ability to help people in an ever-changing and rapidly improving field. Even more so, she is grateful for the opportunity to make people feel like the best, most elevated version of themselves.
When not working with her patients, Christina spends most of her free time hiking or fly fishing in the back country of Western NC. She enjoys all of the great food, breweries, wineries, and music that Asheville has to offer, and loves to spend time with her border collie mix, Izzy.
Rachel
Licensed Esthetician
Rachel knows firsthand that healthy skin can transform the way you feel about yourself. After years of struggling with her own skin concerns, she developed a passion for helping others navigate their skincare journeys and witnessing the improved self-esteem that comes with real results.
With four years of experience as a licensed esthetician, Rachel takes a patient, listen-first approach to every treatment. She loves building relationships with her clients, learning about their unique concerns, and developing personalized plans that evolve alongside their skin. For Rachel, the most rewarding part of her work is watching her clients’ progress over time and celebrating those “I finally love my skin” moments together.
Originally from New Jersey, Rachel moved to the Asheville area in 2013. She quickly fell in love with the mountains, the community, and the pace of life in Western North Carolina. In 2020, she earned her esthetics license and found her calling in the treatment room.
Rachel specializes in laser hair removal, HydraFacial®, dermaplaning, the Radiance Facial, chemical peels, and personalized facials, as well as helping clients develop an ideal home skincare routine to support their goals.
Nikki
Licensed Esthetician
Nikki believes that feeling comfortable in your own skin is everything—and she’s made it her mission to help every client who sits in her chair feel exactly that way. As she puts it: “If you’re comfortable, everybody else should be comfortable.”
With years of spa experience and a passion for skincare, Nikki brings a warm, nurturing energy to every treatment. A Western North Carolina native, she has a natural gift for putting clients at ease, whether they’re first-timers or regulars, and loves taking the time to educate them about how to care for their skin at home. For Nikki, the treatment doesn’t end when you leave the office—she wants to set you up for long-term success.

Caroline
Front Desk Coordinator
Caroline is the friendly face you’ll see when you walk through our doors—and she wouldn’t have it any other way. A self-proclaimed people person, she genuinely loves connecting with clients and making sure everyone feels welcome from the moment they arrive.
Originally from nearby Weaverville, Caroline brings a diverse background to the team. As a licensed cosmetologist, she has a natural understanding of the beauty industry and an appreciation for the confidence that comes with looking and feeling your best. Her experience as a hair stylist, nanny, dog-sitter, and photographer has given her a unique skill set: she’s adaptable, attentive, and always ready to go the extra mile.
When she’s not at the front desk helping clients schedule their next treatment or answering questions, you’ll find Caroline staying active—she loves running and working out in her free time.
Austin
Medical Assistant & Front Desk Coordinator
Austin plays a vital behind-the-scenes role at Mountain Radiance, ensuring every treatment runs smoothly from start to finish. As a medical assistant, he keeps patient charts up to date, prepares treatment rooms, captures before-and-after photos, and makes sure clients are comfortable and ready before each procedure.
Austin was drawn to our medical spa because he loves being part of an environment where people can walk in knowing what they want and walk out feeling great about themselves. There’s something rewarding about helping clients achieve exactly what they came for, and Austin takes pride in making that experience seamless.
Born in Florida and raised in North Carolina, Austin has called the Asheville area home for over 20 years and brings a calm, easygoing energy to the team. When he’s not at the front desk or assisting with treatments, he’s pursuing his creative passions—drawing, writing, reading (mostly sci-fi and nonfiction), and staying active.
